Chef/Cook – Welshpool
We are seeking an chef/cook to join our team clients restaurant located near Welshpool, Powys. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with the Head Chef, occasionally taking charge in their absence. Maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with both Front of House and kitchen teams, demonstrating a hands-on, friendly, and flexible approach.
- Prepare freshly made dishes using free-range meats and locally sourced produce whenever possible.
- Implement a commercial mindset with strong skills in stock and wastage control.
- Meet the demands of a fast-paced lunch service with enthusiasm and energy.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a busy kitchen environment, particularly during peak service times.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Commitment to upholding excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
Benefits:
- Day shifts only with no split shifts.
- 8am-5pm (No late shifts)
- Flexible working schedule: 4 or 5 days over 7, including alternate weekends and additional weekend days during busy seasons and for holiday cover. Hours and days can be adjusted for the right candidate.
- Competitive salary ranging from £12-£15 per hour, depending on experience.
- Approximately 40 hours per week.
