We are currently undergoing recruitment for a Class 1 Trunking driver to join our prestigious client in the Welshpool area. We are looking for a candidate who will safely and efficiently transport goods between our main base in Welshpool and various hubs, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.

This is a full time position with a starting salary of £44,400 per annum. The working hours are as follows:

• Monday – Friday
• Start 19:00 – 05:00/07:00 Finish

Main roles and responsibilities:

• Operate our Class 1 vehicles to transport goods between our Welshpool base and other depots
• Complete double runs between the base in Welshpool and Hubs
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Safely load and unload all good when required, ensuring you are using the correct equipment
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections and keep up to date on all relevant paperwork
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Have clear and effective communications with warehouse staff, transport planners and all other team members to ensure smooth operations

Skills and qualities we are looking for in a candidate:

• A valid, clean UK Class 1 driving license
• Excellent driving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience in driving Class 1 vehicles
• Previous trunking experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of road transport regulations
