We are currently looking to recruit sewing machine operatives to join our client on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills on a variety of industrial sewing machines, producing seating systems for the commercial and construction industries. Full onsite training will be provided by our friendly and supportive team, with training taking up to six months. Once fully multi-skilled, your pay rate will increase. Applicants will be interviewed and will also have the chance to participate in a sewing trial to assess their abilities.

This position has a starting rate of £11.44 per hour and the working hours are as follows:

• Monday – Thursday
• 06:00 – 16:15
• 39 hours per week

Main roles and Responsibilities

• Operate the embroidery machines used for producing customer logos
• Marking up sewing lines onto different fabrics
• Assist with cutting table operations
• General duties within the sewing department
• Any other reasonable task, as required.

• Interest in sewing or prior experience preferred
• Good understanding of English
• Ability to always adhere to health and safety regulations
• Good housekeeping skills, ensuring they work tidily to always keep workspace neat and free from clutter

• Preparing embroidery machines for customer logo applications
• Marking sewing lines on fabric
• Supporting cutting table tasks and general responsibilities in the sewing department
