
Manufacturing Engineer – Welshpool
Our client is looking for a talented engineer to join our innovative manufacturing engineering team, where you will be integral in advancing cutting-edge manufacturing equipment and processes for microcontroller-based power electronics products. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including software and hardware design for automated test systems, inspection machines, robotics, artificial intelligence, new product introductions, and production process optimization.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:30am to 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions.
- Lead the development and execution of test strategies to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive innovation in test equipment design, including both electrical and mechanical aspects.
- Contribute to the development of automated test systems and robotics solutions.
- Work closely with product development teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and solutions.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A HNC or Degree in an engineering or technology discipline.
- Strong experience in electronics engineering, with a solid understanding of product lifecycle and technical challenges.
- Proficiency in software programming and CAD tools, with specific experience in:
- NI LabVIEW
- SolidWorks
- Allen Bradley PLCs
- Proven experience in designing and developing test equipment, with a focus on machine safety and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, proactive approach.

Our client is committed to working with the best people possible and as such is offering competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum (negotiable).
