We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our client in the Welshpool area.

• Monday – Friday
• 08:30 – 17:00
• £45,000 per annum

Skills and requirements:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in the design, simulation, analysis, and testing of electronic and/or power electronic circuits.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong understanding of AC motor control principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable skills and requirements:

• Proficiency in using Altium Designer for PCB development.
• Experience with power electronics modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB and PSIM.
• Familiarity with Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit design.
• Experience developing firmware for DSP-based motor control systems.
• Knowledge of EMC compliance testing and design, particularly in the areas of conducted and radiated emissions.
• A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
