
Site manager – Aberystwyth
We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Site Manager to join our client in the Aberystwyth area.
- Straight to permanent position
- 07:30 – 17:00 approx.
- Monday – Friday
- £250 per day – (Roughly £60,000 per annum)
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction operations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
- Track project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Always uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine site inspections to verify adherence to building codes and project standards.
- Communicate project status updates to managers and key stakeholders.
- Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment storage.
- Address on-site challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
- Keep thorough and accurate records, such as daily logs, reports, and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets the required specifications.
Skills and requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
- Strong background in overseeing construction projects from groundworks to completion.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple trades on-site.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Full UK driving license.
- Willingness to travel between sites or work flexible hours when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
