We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Mill production Operative to join our client in the Llansantffraid area.

• 40 Hours per week
• Monday – Sunday on rota basis
• £12.21 Per hour

Main roles and responsibilities:

• Carrying out a full range of Mill Operator duties as directed by the Mill Supervisor, including operation of plant and machinery, manual handling tasks, and driving forklift and telehandler equipment
• Collaborating with experienced Mill staff to develop and learn essential operational skills
• Performing routine tasks efficiently, including various cleaning responsibilities
• Working safely in a high-noise, dusty environment
• Assisting with cleaning and basic mechanical maintenance tasks, following any required training
• Adhering to all relevant quality standards, procedures, and regulations
• Ensuring strict compliance with health and safety, as well as feed safety protocols, and supporting the implementation of any necessary procedural updates

Skills and Requirements:

• Capable of performing manual handling tasks safely, including lifting weights of up to 25kg
• Competent in operating a Counterbalance Forklift and/or Telehandler, holding the relevant licence(s) (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships
• Self-driven and able to work independently using own initiative
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Possesses a basic understanding of agricultural products (advantageous but not required)
• Willing to undertake any role-specific training as needed
