We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Newtown on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing and packing equipment.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Newtown

£35k-£45k

Standard hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily visual inspections of production line machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
• Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment breakdowns
• Conduct regular quality and safety checks to minimise downtime
• Maintain accurate records of planned and emergency maintenance
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations
• Assist with general building maintenance when required

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• Full clean driving licence

Desirable Skills

• City & Guilds Inspection & Testing of electrical installations qualification
• Experience in control panel building and PLC programming
• Qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018
