Fabricator/Welder – Shropshire
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Halfway House. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading technical drawings, preparing components, assembling and welding parts, and carrying out quality checks to ensure all work meets specifications and UKCA standards.
You will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, keeping the work area clean and organised, and working closely with the team to meet production deadlines.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from technical and assembly drawings
- Carry out fabrication, welding, and material handling tasks
- Perform high amp welding and metal cutting using various tools and machinery
- Maintain high standards of quality control and attention to detail
- Work effectively within a team to meet deadlines
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Complete quality check sheets for UKCA audits
- MIG welding experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Forklift licence
- Overhead crane certification
