About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accounts Ledger Accountant to join our established and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident finance professional who thrives on accuracy, process improvement and ownership of key ledger functions.

Hours: 0900-1730

£30K-£40k per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, resolving queries efficiently
• Prepare monthly ledger reports and support month-end close
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and UK accounting standards
• Identify process improvements and contribute to best-practice financial controls
• Support audits, providing documentation and explanations as required
• Mentor junior team members and assist with ad-hoc duties

About You

• Proven experience in an accounts ledger or similar finance role (senior level preferred)
• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles
• Strong understanding of UK construction CIS and RC Vat submissions and compliance
• Proficient in accounting software Quick Books and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Confident communicator able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• A proactive, organised individual who can work independently and meet deadlines
• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA desirable.
